La clasificaci\u00f3n finalizada de Global Firepower se basa en m\u00e1s de 55 factores para determinar el puntaje del ranking. A partir de esa f\u00f3rmula se permite que las naciones m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as y tecnol\u00f3gicamente m\u00e1s avanzadas compitan con las m\u00e1s grandes y las menos desarrolladas. Algunos aspectos tenidos en cuenta son:
\n– La clasificaci\u00f3n no depende \u00fanicamente del n\u00famero total de armas disponibles para un pa\u00eds (aunque es un factor), sino que se centra
\nen la diversidad de armas dentro de los totales para proporcionar un mejor equilibrio de potencia de fuego disponible. Por ejemplo,
\ncolocar 100 dragaminas no es igual al valor estrat\u00e9gico \/ t\u00e1ctico de alinear 10 portaaviones.
\n– Se tienen en cuenta los estados del Primer Mundo, el Segundo Mundo y el Tercer Mundo.
\n– Los factores geogr\u00e1ficos, la flexibilidad log\u00edstica, los recursos naturales y la industria local influyen en la clasificaci\u00f3n final.
\n– La mano de obra disponible es una consideraci\u00f3n clave; las naciones con grandes poblaciones tienden a tener un rango m\u00e1s alto
\ndebido a la disponibilidad de personal para apoyar la guerra y la industria.
\n– Las naciones sin litoral NO son penalizadas por falta de armada, sin embargo, las potencias navales SON penalizadas por la falta de diversidad en los activos disponibles. Por ejemplo, 100 patrulleras no igualan la misma ventaja que tienen 4 fragatas de misiles guiados y 2 submarinos de ataque nuclear.
\n– Los aliados de la OTAN reciben una peque\u00f1a bonificaci\u00f3n debido al intercambio te\u00f3rico de recursos si uno de los miembros se
\ncompromete a la guerra.
\n– Se tiene en cuenta la estabilidad \/ solidez financiera ya que las finanzas representan uno de varios factores importantes para llevar a
\ncabo una campa\u00f1a exitosa.
\n–\u00a0 El liderazgo pol\u00edtico \/ militar actual NO se tiene en cuenta, ya que puede ser muy subjetivo y no necesariamente influir en el rendimiento
